Bridgewater, VA- Two precious souls were baptized into Christ for remission of sins in the North River on Sunday, September 14, 2008.  Randy Trout came in faith & obedience, wanting to make sure of his salvation. Randy was thankful for the help of his family, especially his physical brother, Barry Gantt, who became his spiritual brother that day as Randy was immersed into Christ for remission of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit, Acts 2:38.

Elisa Fernandez came to us during one of our Christian Kingdom College classes.  She had always wanted to be baptized, but wanted to study what the Bible said about the subject, and as she studied the things of the kingdom of God, and obtained a better understanding, she was moved to obedience, being born again, of water and spirit, John 3:3-5.

Baptism is the believer’s identification with the cross of Jesus, according to Romans 6:4-6.  In baptism, we die to sin, are buried, and raised to walk in newness of life.
